How to generate a password you will actually store
A generator only helps if the password is unique and saved. ToolNest uses crypto.getRandomValues and never sees the string.
Length beats clever substitutions
Twenty mixed characters is a reasonable default for generated secrets. Toggle every character class if a site allows it. If a site bans symbols, turn symbols off rather than editing by hand and accidentally reducing entropy.
The meter is a heuristic
The bar looks at length and variety. It does not check whether the password appeared in a breach. It is not a substitute for a password manager’s health report.
Copy once
Copy into a manager, then leave the page. ToolNest cannot recover it later — by design.
Questions
Should I generate Wi‑Fi passwords here?+
Yes, then store them somewhere durable. A QR of that password is a convenience; anyone who scans it has the password.
